AT the New Year we came to Tavistock, your wonderful town but our visit was spoiled by all the uncollected rubbish on the roads.
The litter containers were overflowing and also the dog bins. There was rubbish in the river and canal and everywhere outside the houses were bags and boxes of rubbish which was spread around. Why should this be in such a beautiful town?
We also visited Dover for two days and this was very clean and tidy.
The people we spoke to in Tavistock were sad for visitors to see the mess and said it should be cleaned up.
If your town wants to bring more visitors from Europe you should try to clean up the mess or we will not be coming back with our friends. We hope that you will print this letter in your newspaper, the Times Gazette, which we like very much, so that the tourist board can help make things better in Tavistock.
