I WAS very interested to learn about the vandals in the Red Lion Yard.
On Sunday June 1 I was walking through the Red Lion Yard to go through the opening that leads out to near Waitrose. Suddenly I heard a sound behind me.
I looked round and these yobs had thrown an egg at me. It smashed to the ground. I was lucky it missed me. They ran away when I got my mobile phone out of my pocket.
When I went back through the yard there were more eggs which had been thrown at people. Then they had tried to vandalise a hanging basket, as there was earth all over the ground.
Where I live we have had CCTV for a long time. You have a nice town here, nice shops, lovely scenery of the moors. But now I will think twice about visiting your town again.
You should be able to walk through your town at midday and be safe.
