TAVISTOCK Parish Church last Sunday hosted a visit from the Rt Rev Michael Lewis, Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf, whose responsibilities include the Anglican Church in Baghdad and Iraq. 

The Bishop enjoyed a barbecue in the vicarage garden with some 70 parishioners on Saturday evening, and took the opportunity in church the next morning to confirm Laura Smith, of Tavistock, home on leave from work as a lecturer at the University of Queensland, Australia.
