A WEST Devon twinning association will celebrate its 30th anniversary this weekend, with a visit by families from Tilly-sur-Seulles in Normandy.
The 21-strong visiting party arrive in Horrabridge today (Thursday) where they will stay with host families in the village.
They will enjoy a busy programme of visits and events, which will include a parish reception celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first contact between councillors in both countries and a celebration dinner in the village hall.
The party is due to make a tour of Plymouth Naval Base and museum tomorrow (Friday), before visiting Plymouth Civic Centre where they will meet the deputy Lord Mayor, Dr John Mahoney.
During the afternoon they will tour the Barbican and visit Blackfriars Distillery, the home of Plymouth Gin.
On Saturday there will be a guided walk around Horrabridge before the parish council entertains the guests at a lunchtime reception.
The party is due to leave Horrabridge on Sunday.
