residents of Drewsteignton are gearing up for the village?s annual fundraising event, Teignton Fayre, this weekend. Since its revival in 2000 the event has raised money for various charities and local good causes. This year the nominated charity is the South West Children?s Hospice. A performance from the Taiko Japanese drumming group from Cheriton Bishop will start the evening?s entertainment, and it will culminate with a disco until midnight. Attractions and stalls including a bouncy castle, fancy dress and a coconut shy along with a hog roast are also planned. The event takes place this Saturday (June 3) and starts at 6pm.
