THE initial 20 minutes saw play go from end to end until Villa took first blood after Tavistock gave them too much space.
Tavistock went two down before stepping up a gear with good defending from Lisa Curtis and Candy Capeling. Good midfield play was rewarded when Venn Quarter and Kirsty Jones played a one-two past the Villa keeper.
The second half saw Tavistock's Julie McGowan and Donna Burch pushing up front. Louise Evans slammed the ball into the back of the Villa net after an excellent pass from McGowan.
But Tavistock were caught on the hop by two goals to give Villa victory.
