A VIGIL to remember those who have died in the Iraq conflict is due to be held in Tavistock next week.
The vigil, part of a movement by Stop the War, Child Victims of War and CND, will take place in Bedford Square on Tuesday November 2.
It will coincide with other vigils taking place simultaneously throughout Britain and other countries ? the purpose being to commemorate civilians and soldiers of all nationalities who have been killed in Iraq since March 2003.
Tavistock Peace Action Group, which is organising the town?s vigil, invites people to take part in the event between 5.30pm and 7pm, bringing along their lanterns or candles in jars. For more information, call 01822 615960.
