Cullompton U14s 19

OKEHAMPTON played some excellent rugby against a useful Cullompton.

Front row players Scott Simpson, Tom Richards and Stuart Bennie controlled the scrums. Wing forwards Jake Chisholm and Richard Friend both had good games, being first to the tackle and picking up any loose ball, supported well by Luke Crocker and Rob Long who had several strong runs.

Carl Goodall?s speed at centre opened the Cullompton defence for the first two tries. Tom Browne scored from a poor Cullompton clearance kick after good pressure from the forwards. No 8 Long scored the last from a five-metre scrum.

Poynton converted all four tries and a penalty.
