YELVERTON Vets played the third round of the individual Jim Ball Competition on May 5.

The winner in Division 1 was John Soutar, 37 points, followed by Graham Plumb, Mike Allan and John Gilmore who all scored 34 points.

In Division 2 Eddie Primmer with 39 points, was the winner, closely followed be Derek Maughan 38 points and David Hanley 37 points.

Barry Corey, Colin Brown, Les Trace and Chris Pearn all scored twos.

They played a match against Bigbury Vets and Yelverton won 31/2 – 21/2 Mike Ferris won nearest the pin for Yelverton Vets and Mick Gates won for Bigbury Vets.

On May 12 Yelverton Veterans played a three ball competition (two scores to count ).

The winners were Mike Martin. Mike Allan and Phil Baker scoring 84 points with Davis Kelly, Eric Bradshaw and Richard Edwards Runners Up with 81 points.

Third were Mike Ayres, Bert Warn and Roy Kirwan Taylor with 77 points.

Nick Ring, Bob Griffin, Eric Bradshaw and Dennis Voisin all scored 2s.
