TWO FIRE appliances from Okehampton were mobilised after numerous reports of a car fire on the A30A at Stowford Cross near Lifton last Saturday afternoon.

Upon arrival, crews found the car well alight and used two breathing apparatus sets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

The car suffered severe fire damage.
