THE manager of the Chagford branch of Rendells surveyors has been elected to serve on the governing council of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Timothy Garratt, who is a RICS registered valuer, as well as being a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, was voted to the council following a worldwide ballot of members.

Tim was awarded a Fellowship of the Agricultural Law Association two years ago, and has been a partner in Rendells since 1976.

A former member of the Council of the Livestock Auctioneers Association, Tim now specialises in valuation of rural estates and property for probate, tax planning, divorce and family settlement and also acts as an expert witness in property valuation matters.
