Okehampton U14s 10

IN the incessant rain from the kick off Topsham immediately went into the attack and were valiantly held by the Okehampton forwards.

The game swung up and down the pitch with the Okehampton squad valiantly taking on players who could have played in the Colts team. Topsham crossed the line twice during this phase and converted one of these tries.

The game continued to swing both ways as both sides sought the advantage. Just before half time Topsham crossed the line for a converted try.

The second half saw Oke take to the field with renewed vigour and determination. The visitors launched a series of attacks into their opponents' half which were held off by the Topsham squad who themselves tried to counter attack.

Ultimately the play swayed in Okehampton's favour and Alex Arthurs had an excellent run from the half way line to score a try in the corner, which Liam Wilkins just failed to convert. Both teams put in some bruising attacks only to be stopped. Eventually Oke broke through and allowed Josh Bush to score a well deserved try.

Just before the whistle Topsham crossed the line for an unconverted try.
