JAZZ and romance combine next week with a live event on St Valentine?s Day. Swing, be-bop and funk will be on offer at Launceston?s Eagle House Hotel in the live jazz evening headlined by Bob Tinker?s Jazz Prophets ? Bob taught music at Tavistock?s Mount House School. Guest performers are the Kenery String Quartet. The event, which runs from 7.30pm to late on Tuesday February 14, is in aid of the Alzheimer?s Society. It has been organised by Angie Harris, who went to school in Tavistock and lived there for many years. Angie is to raise more funds for the Alzheimer?s Society with a sponsored high altitude trek on the Inca Trail in Peru later this year. Tickets for the live jazz evening, which includes a grand raffle with many prizes, are available from Rhythm and Rhyme music shop in Launceston (tel 01566 772774), priced £5.
