A VACANCY has arisen on Tavistock Town Council following the resignation of former councillor Sue Bailey.

An election will now be held for a seat on the council representing the Tavistock North Ward.

The Notice of Election will be published by the Returning Officer of West Devon Borough Council today (July 7) and the deadline for nomination papers will be 4pm on Friday, July 15.
