IT seems that Dartmoor National Park Authority is being profligate with new signage. Notices sprang up at Windy Post Cross warning that we should not pollute the leat water. Now, all the car parks have notices that say it's prohibited to sleep overnight in your vehicle. A campervan occasionally parked in the corner of a car park 'wild camping' has in the past been accepted as most leave no trace of their stay. It is also one of Dartmoor's attractions. I have certainly made use of this for dusk and dawn photography. I suggest the authority makes better use of its budgets by spending more on education and less of heavy handed restrictions that in effect say you can sleep all day in your vehicle but you can't sleep overnight! I urge the authority to use some common sense in this matter. Brian Bradley Hurdwick Road Tavistock
