There were also great individual wins for Jess Trerise in the senior girls and Rebecca Rowe in the juniors.
Most of last year?s mini girls? team have moved up to juniors, so the new team of Lottie Trerise, Rosa Malseed, Martha Bright and Jessica Jeffery did brilliantly to win a class of 14 teams.
Lottie was beaten into second place by just two points and had the best run; Rosa came fourth with the equal best shoot and in her first ever competition, Martha came ninth out of the 52 competitors and won the prize for the best under 9 girl.
In the mini boys, Tommy Lyon Smith started the year with three PBs and was in a mixed team that finished fifth.
There were 52 junior girls in 15 teams and Mid Devon girls stole the show, finishing first, second and third individually and first and fourth in the team event.
The winning team of Rebecca and Charlotte Rowe and Scarlett Geering finished well clear of their rivals with Rebecca winning the class with equal best shoot and swim. Charlotte came second, also with equal best swim and Scarlett came third.
The swimming matches between Rebecca and Charlotte should provide some spectacular competitions through the season.
Jessica Mortimore, Ellen Bright and Lucy Almond were all competing as Juniors for the first time, as was Charlotte, and they showed great promise by finishing fourth team.
William Leech had his first outing as a junior and was a member of the fifth placed team, while Jess Trerise put in a commanding performance to win the senior girls with the best shoot and best run of the class.
