Saltash United 1 Tavistock 5 A GOAL in first-half stoppage time proved to be the catalyst for a second half Tavistock deluge which left Saltash somewhat deflated after this game at Kimberley Stadium. The teams looked to be going in level at the break until home goalkeeper Andy Barnes let former Ashes striker Glynn Hobbs? speculative 30-yard shot slip under his body. The second half saw Tavistock step up a gear and it was another former Saltash player, Kevin Parker, who doubled the Lambs? tally in the 56th minute with a measured 12-yard finish. Hobbs scored his second with a 70th minute shot after good work from Parker and Mike Arscott before the Ashes pulled a goal back through a Tony Bouch header a minute later. In the last 10 minutes Marc Conday and Steve Daly added further goals for Tavistock to ensure a deserved victory for the visitors.
