I AM writing to complain about the lack of refuse collection in my area. I live in Whitchurch and since foot and mouth the bin men will not collect from outside the properties on our lane. They insist we take our bags to the nearest crossroads instead.
This is bad enough but what happens next is that the ponies and sheep on the moor open up all our bags and everything scatters all over the moor!
Animals could cut their feet on tin cans, ponies could eat the rubbish and get colic. Not to mention the fact that it is totally unhygienic and an eyesore.
We have rung the council and drawn a complete blank! I want to know what the environmental health department has to say, or will that be a load of old rubbish as well!?
