A reading of Dylan Thomas' 'Under Milk Wood' was staged at Tavistock Library last month.
The event was organised by the First Tuesday Play Readers and led by Helena Ancil.
A professional and entertaining delivery kept the audience enthralled throughout the two-part production. The lead roles were read by David Mudd, Phil Dyson, Mary Beddall and Helena Ancil, while Mary Thompson provided some notable sound effects.
The event was hosted by Jude Jeal, head of Tavistock Library, and was free as part of the Devon Library Service.
• An evening of 'Winter Frolics' is being staged at Tavistock Library next Thursday (November 20).
Everyone is invited to participate in the many activities from 7pm to 9.30pm. The cost is £1 for over 16s, £2 for adults and under 10s can go free.
