AS Tavistock had not played for more than two months and only having 11 players available, they faced an uphill struggle playing against second placed Railway Beacon.
The heavy pitch did not help either team in the first half as both teams found it difficult to play their natural passing game.
Towards the end of the first half, Tavistock started to dominate and were rewarded with the first goal when Hughes and Rowe combined for Milligan to head powerfully home.
The second half was end to end, with Tavistock missing some sitters and their keeper, McDonald making some terrific saves.
Midway through the half, Tavistock finally found their shooting boots with Milligan finishing with a deserved hat trick, Tugwell adding to his growing reputation with two neat finishes and Hamill completing the rout with a fantastic run and finish.
The whole team ran their socks and totally deserved their victory.
