TAVISTOCK RFC U11s rounded off a successful season by becoming Devon Champions for the second year running at the Devon Festival held at Exmouth on bank Holiday Monday. This followed swiftly on the heels of a great performance at the Weston-Super-Mare Festival a fortnight earlier, where the team won the plate competition.

Wins over Exeter Barbarians (21-0) and Newton Abbot (28-0), secured Tavistock's place in the semi-final against Cullumpton, who were overcome 12-0. The final against Kingsbridge saw  Tavistock gaining the early advantage with a Will P try, running deep from within his own half, down the touch line to score the winning try.  The dogged defence of the Tavistock line was also an important factor in the victory. It was a superb, hard working, all round team performance.
