TWO women will be walking from Bridestowe to Launceston in a bid to raise money for a new dog rescue charity Dartmoor View Dog Rescue.

Natalie Cooper, one of the group of people who set up the charity, and charity supporter Sian Kinski will be doing a sponsored walk from Bridestowe to Pets at Home in Launceston today (Thursday).

At Pets at Home there will be a fundraising coffee morning where people can help support the charity.

Natalie and Sian have done well in getting sponsorship from friends and family, and anyone who would like to donate can pick up a sponsorship form from Okeford Vets and Mole Avon in Okehampton.

Alternatively, cheques made payable to Dartmoor View Dog Rescue, can be sent to Heather View, Cowsen Lane, Sourton, EX20 4HY.

DVDR is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who give their time and devotion to finding new homes for all breeds of dogs.

DVDR is a not for profit organisation and is always looking for ways of fundraising to cover the costs of food, vet fees and transporting.
