ARGYLE started strongly and took an early lead with a good through ball by Ben Bickle which Ross Voaden ran onto and coolly slotted past the keeper.
Argyle kept the pressure on and soon scored a second goal when a good cross found Tallan Burns, who fired the ball into the bottom corner with his right foot.
The home team continued playing good football but was caught by a quick breakaway goal from Heavitree who demonstrated some good football resulting in an excellent goal.
Heads didn't go down and Argyle kept going and were later rewarded with their third goal when a penalty was awarded. Ross took the penalty and hit the bar but scored from the rebound.
During the second half a midfield battle took place with Daniel Foggerty having an excellent game in the centre winning lots of tackles. Argyle's new look central defence partnership of Ben Barkwill and Ben Jarvis gave outstanding performances. Argyle's fourth goal came when Tallan Burns' cross was converted by Ben Jarvis.
The fifth and final goal was scored by Argyle close to the end of the game when a tireless performance by Jamie Mallett won a corner which he crossed and Ollie Francis powered the header into the back of the net to round off an excellent debut.
After last week's cup disappointment Argyle showed the strength and determination to pull off this outstanding performance.
