A FRENCH student from Tavistock's twin town of Pontivy is asking people for a short term job and family accommodation during a visit to the town this summer.

Vincent Le Cunff is hoping to visit Tavistock to improve his English for a degree he will be taking in France. During his visit he is hoping to work and would like to find a host family.

Vincent, 19, said: 'I am currently a first year student at Enib, an engineering school in Brest. I am also a member of the twinning association for Pontivy-Tavistock.

'I am very interested in finding some occupation in Britain so that I can pay for my trip there, as well as practice my English, which is necessary as a preparation for my degree.

'My engineering studies require a good level of English and there is no better experience than a trip to get more practice.

'The other reason why I am motivated for this experience is that I would like to work in a team, with other people such as tourists, workmates or customers.

'I can adapt to various situations and I have no major problem as far as communication is concerned. I am brave and outgoing, whatever the situation.'

Vincent is looking for any kind of work, including in a firm, administration, tourist centre, shop or even as an au pair for a family during July and August.
