MEMBERS of the World War II Re-enactment South West group (right) played a key role in 'Tavistock 1943' last weekend — a special event marking the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the US 29th Infantry Division in the town.

The event, a collaboration between Tavistock Town Council, Tavistock Lions Club and the re-enactment group, saw a host of displays, a remembrance service, a beer festival and 'Dig for Victory' garden festival draw thousands into the town.
