SIXTH form students and staff at Okehampton College raised £240 for two worthy causes last week at their annual charity lunch. The event is organised every year by the sixth form charity representative and raises money for the charities of their choice. Emily Smith, the representative, decided to donate the money to Plan International and ShelterBox. Emily got the community involved with the event this year by asking local businesses to donate food. Emily said: 'I am so pleased with how the lunch went. The donations made by the businesses in Okehampton helped me to organise such a successful event.' She expressed thanks to Sweet Success, Pickled Walnut, Endacotts, Somerfield and Lynn Cranney.
