CULINARY delights will be on offer at a festive cookery demonstration on Monday (November 19).

Peter Gorton's event 'Preparing for Christmas' will take place in Tavistock Town Hall and will be raising money for the Mary Budding Trust, a charity for children with disabilities or special needs.

The event will start at 2pm and tickets, at £10 each, are available from Book Stop in Market Street. All tickets will be entered into a draw on the day to win a dinner for two at Gorton's and included in the ticket price is either a glass of wine or a soft drink on arrival provided by Tavistock wine merchant Charles Steevenson.

The Mary Budding Trust has helped children from Hatherleigh to Bere Alston.
