YELVERTON Golf Club took part in the Express and Echo Foursomes Qualifier.

The winners were Annette Sweeney and Mair Preston- Jones on 38 points; second were Trudi Luke and Annie Hosken on 35 and third Christine Longden and Ray Bovingdon on 30.

The winners and the third place qualifiers will play in the finals at Exeter in September. Unfortunately the runners-up are not able to attend.

In the ladies' medal and Pat Gove Trophy division one was won by Trudi Luke, with a net 73 on the back nine from runner-up Gilly Jarvis, on net 73; in division two the winner was Verna Isaac, net 74, second Teresa Holt on 78.

The winner of the Pat Gove Trophy (which is a beautiful crystal bowl donated by a past ladies' captain) is Trudi Luke.
