HURDWICK Golf Club held a successful dinner and presentation evening at the London Inn, Horrabridge, last month.
Club President Surgeon Rear Admiral Trevor Hampton presented the major trophy of the evening, the President?s Cup, to Adam Bridgewater.
The monthly medal for December was won in division one by John Berry with a net 68, followed by Tim Hawkins with 70, pushing Tony Pearson into third place, also with a net 70 on count back
The clear leader in division two was Roger Downing with a net 66. George Whitfield was second with 69 and Ray Spear third with 75.
On Sunday December 15 the traditional Turkey Trot stableford competition was played in wet conditions. Outright winner in division one was Ian Hill with 41 points, closely followed by Tony Morris who nudged Ray White into third place on count back, both players scoring 39 points.
Division two saw Ray Spear the winner with 37 points, beating George Whitfield on count back with the same score. Third was Rodney Browne with 36 points.
The ladies winner was Ann Martyn who beat Sally Arscott on count back, their scores level at 32 points each. Third was Annette Samphier.
The only ?two? recorded throughout a damp day was by Roger Blackaller.
