THREE members of Tavistock Swimming Club (pictured above) took part in the challenging Plymouth Junior open water Aquathlon held at Mount Batten

Hannah Greep, Pete Jarman and David Farmer, all aged 13, took part in the Tri-star three which included a 400m sea swim and a 3k run along the breakwater.  Hannah led from start to finish in a time of 20mins 36secs to win gold in the girls' category. 

The first of the boys to finish was Pete Jarman in a time of 20.51 to win gold in the boys.  David Farmer, a new member to the swimming club had a great race and finished fourth in a time of 21.57. 

Hannah and Pete had a successful weekend as the previous day they both competed in the Devon Games to Inspire held at Tavistock. Hannah won gold and Pete won bronze in their respective individual aquathlon events and they both received gold for their team event.
