Tries came from Johnny Hutchins, two good individuals ones from Ian Brooks, and Andy Herrod-Taylor with one. Four conversions and a penalty.

Next game Saturday, kick-off 11am, against a touring side.

Topsham U10s 5

North/Okes U10s 30

COMBINING with a few under nine players the team gave the best performance of the season, with spirited runs by Martin Hann, Buster Francis and Michael Heard led to the pack winning plenty of ball. Jordan Lee and Peter Gillard worked hard behind them which led to a good flowing game.

Matthew Johns, on the wing, made some lovely breaks to open the scoring, quickly followed by Mike Heard. Dan Curtis, full back, tackled like a demon which kept Topsham at bay and made plenty of space for the players outside.

Peter Gillard topped a great day by getting a hat-trick of tries. Also playing well were Peter Vernon, Thomas Mallett, Tom Fogerty, new boy William Lethbridge and Thomas White who played for Topsham as they were short of players to start with. Jordan Lee finished the scoring to cap a fine individual season for a young player.

Junior presentation night is on April 26 at 7.30pm at Okehampton Rugby Club.
