OKEHAMPTON Camera Club will open its doors for a special event in the New Year.

Nigel Hicks, a Devon-based international photographer, will give a talk entitled The Life of an International Travel Photographer at the club's meeting on Monday, January 5 and members of the public are invited to join them.

Pam Kemp, the club's programme secretary said Nigel has travelled the globe and has a huge range of photographic experience. The club is delighted he is to share this and members hope local people will join them for this special talk.

The club meets at All Saints Parish Church Hall in Market Street at 7.30pm. A small charge is made for this event, £3 for members or £6 for non members.
