OKEHAMPTON firefighters were called to Waitrose supermarket after an employee caught his hand in a piece of machinery last week. Two firecrews from Okehampton used hydraulic rams to release the man?s hand. He received immediate medical attention after sustaining a broken finger. The incident occurred at Waitrose?s Okehampton branch on February 18. The company is pleased to say the member of staff will be returning to work in the near future.
