THE Trustees of Okehampton District Community Transport Group (ODCTG), providers of the Ring and Ride service,would publicly like to thank the councils of Okehampton, Okehampton Hamlets, Bridestowe, Hatherleigh, South Tawton, Bratton Clovelly and Belstone for donations either received or promised, in total an amount of £1,057 towards our core costs for the coming financial year.
Both Ring and ride and Community Cars have now been providing an essential and invaluable service for Okehampton and district for 14 years.
We provide transport for people who cannot use conventional public transport, and enable them to access the shops, services and other facilities,which would otherwise be very difficult for them to access.
Without the support of the above parish councils, together with the continued support of Devon County Council and West Devon Borough Council, we would find it extremely difficult to continue our service at the current level.
Last, but not least, may we thank our users for their continued support of both services.
