A FREE guide to discovering Dartmoor by bus and train has just been published. It is produced by Devon County Council and the Dartmoor National Park Authority.
The Discovery Guide to Dartmoor features services to Okehampton, Tavistock, Princetown, Moretonhampstead and other moorland towns besides.
The service travels through the heart of Dartmoor and during the summer provides passengers with a grandstand view of the area from the top of double-decker buses.
Also included in the guide is information from Dartmoor National Park about free guided walks and places to visit by bus, such as Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge and Okehampton Railway Station, plus places to stay including youth hostels and camping barns.
The Dartmoor Discovery Guide is available from libraries, post offices and tourist information offices.
