THE BBC transmitter at Marystow, left out of action because engineers could not access the site, has now been fixed.
A MAFF vet was able to escort the repair team to the burnt-out equipment to return BBC1 to local screens, blank since late last month.
The transmitter serves viewers in the Marystow, Chillaton and Liddaton areas. It was damaged during a lightning strike.
