THE match was a virtual re-run of an earlier cup encounter and again North Tawton came second.
In terrible conditions North Tawton found themselves with only 14 men and with this plus the weather failed to adapt in a
disappointing game.
North Tawton were outplayed in scrums and lineouts. Ilfracombe ran in 12 tries Dave Quick stood in at scrum half and had an excellent game behind a retreating pack.
It was left to evergreen outside half Joe Fewings to score all North Tawton?s points with his faithful boot by kicking three penalties.
North Tawton always knew this was going to be a tough season and so it is proving, but training on Thursday at 7pm would help enormously, as winger Chris Maunder has proved by improving week by week.
