A TRACTOR was severely damaged by fire on the road between Tavistock and Chillaton last Thursday.

Twenty metres of hedgerow and four metres of road surface were also damaged by the fire, which was attended by two engines from Tavistock with watch commander Kingham in charge.

The crews used four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, as well as two hose reel jets, foam and an environmental pack.
