EIGHT jujitsu students from a Tavistock martial arts club went all out in front of a grading panel headed by senseis Umberto Bergonzini, third degree black belt, and Stuart Queen, fourth degree black.
For Robert McClelland and Steve Downing it was the first time and they performed extremely well, passing and achieving the next level, eighth kyu which is represented by a yellow belt. Charles Challis was promoted to sixth Kyu green belt one tab. Charlie Bury, David Buncle, John Nolan and Melanie Green fourth kyu, blue belt.
The grading panel was pleased by the performance and character demonstrated by everyone, beginners as well as more experienced students.
