TAVISTOCK Enterprise Hub (TEH) is to play host to a flagship nationwide event for a special Microsoft Anywhere Working Week, putting the region firmly on the map for innovation and flexible working.

TEH has joined forces with Devon County Council and Microsoft to support Anywhere Working Week. It is one of a handful of flagship events in a country-wide campaign to encourage businesses to review the way people work and to promote the benefits of flexible work-styles. Other venues include London,?Bristol, Norwich and Chelmsford.

The free event will be taking place in Tavistock on March 20. Visitors to the Hub will have the opportunity to network with fellow or aspiring flexible workers, and join a number of fast-paced and insightful Anywhere Working workshops.

There will be sessions on the future of work as well as an opportunity to hear practical advice on how to work flexibly and get to grips with the latest Anywhere Working technology and tools from Microsoft, Regus, Vodafone, UnWork, Intel Nokia, TfL and DfT.

Adam Fleet, managing director at TEH, said: 'This is a fantastic coup for Tavistock and West Devon to be ranked alongside London in hosting one of the showpiece events.

'With sustainable working at the heart of what we do at Tavistock Enterprise Hub, we are excited to be working with Microsoft in hosting the Anywhere Working event for the region.

'With such amazing talent tucked away in Tavistock this will be a great opportunity to celebrate the technology which enables working in a way which is friendly to the work/life balance as well as the environment.

'This is a chance to bring those contemporary cottage industries into a vibrant village environment.'
