A STUDENT at Shebbear College has been confirmed as one of the lucky few selected to carry the Olympic Torch as it passes through the region.

Grace Beal, who attends the college sixth form, will carry the torch through Ilfracombe on May 21. Grace, who lives in Bideford, will join Bea Holman-Brooks, Jack Gibbons and Andy Vallance from Okehampton, and Hannah Lavell from Highampton as one of the 8,000 inspiring people across Great Britain selected for the honour.
