TAVISTOCK played superbly. Donna Burch was excellent on the right wing and Kirsty Jones created havoc on the left wing.
Lisa Curtis and Julie MaGowan never stopped battling. The goal came from a run from Burch which Louise Evans knocked in for Jones to finish.
An onslaught occurred with some good goalkeeping and excellent defending from Wendy Stephens and Aileen Ismail but after losing Janie Sivyer with a knee injury Tavistock conceded a goal seconds before half-time.
The second half saw Tavistock lose concentration and after a cross everybody missed the goal came to put Torbay in the lead.
Despite excellent work from MaGowan, running and covering all over the place, Torbay slotted another.
Thanks were expressed to Aileen for providing food, Belinda and Wendy Stephens who received flowers from the team in their retirement, Sue Hammond, who received lady of the match on her last game and a lovely bunch of flowers, and Eric Pinch and Phil Lowe for supporting the team in their last match of the season. A special thanks to coach Mark Stephens for all his hard work.
