THIS Saturday will be the first of the month so it will be time for Tidy Tavi volunteers to take to the streets of Tavistock and clear up some of the rubbish that has accumulated there.

You too could be a Tidy Tavi volunteer and help in your community. There’s no need to sign up or register in any way. Just go along to meet the regulars outside Meadowlands Leisure Centre at 10am for a brief safety briefing and to pick up the necessary tools. Most participants work until midday, but any assistance is welcome.

‘The weather forecast for Saturday is very favourable so you may even get a chance to top up your sun tan!’ said volunteer Steve Hipsey.
