RACHEL Stephens of Curworthy Cheeses at Belstone was delighted to be awarded first prize for her Haytor cheese, which was being sampled enthusiastically by visitors to her stand in the food and drink pavilion.

She said it was a 'completely different' cheese to the others she produces, more based on an Emmental-type cheese.

'Like all things, it takes several years to get right, and to get enough in stock so I can actively start promoting it,' said Rachel, who was a prize winner with several others of her cheeses.
