TAVISTOCK childminder Tresca Pascoe is celebrating after achieving an 'outstanding' report by Ofsted inspectors.
Tresca originally took up childminding four years ago to allow her to work while also being a mother herself.
But due to the volume of enquiries received she and her husband Chris decided to work as a team in 2009 — the couple currently care for 21 children in their own home.
Ofsted inspectors said: 'Tresca and her assistant provide exemplary care in a secure homely environment.
'Children thrive in their care and make excellent progress in their development.'
The couple do not only offer a great home environment.
Children in Tresca's care are regularly taken outside for activities such as walks on the moors, trips to Paignton Zoo and picnics in the park.
Tresca said: 'Children learn best through play and when they are enjoying themselves — when the weather is good we try and make the most of it.'
When the weather is not so kind, Tresca is well prepared with 'cupboards full of arts materials'.
