PUPILS from Mount House School have scored 100% in this year?s associated board music examinations ? an increase of almost 50% on last year?s figures. Thirty-six children took a total of 39 examinations set by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. All the exams were passed, with two children achieving distinctions and a further 14 awarded merits. The distinction awards went to Emmie de Falbe for her performance in the grade 5 singing exam, whilst Jamie Farrington won his in the grade 2 piano category. Two other pupils achieved double successes: Emma Paull with merits in grade 1 piano and grade 4 singing, and Hannah Morris who won merits for grade 2 cello and grade 2 piano. Associated Board practical exams are designed to motivate the pupils and students at all levels by providing clear attainable goals.
