A TAVISTOCK store is celebrating after being named Independent Retailer of the Year 2007 for the South West. Inside Out, which has contemporary lifestyle shops in Tavistock and Dartmouth, received the accolade from the Progressive Gifts and Home Retailer Awards held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park. The awards are known as The Greats within the industry and are considered the Oscar equivalent of gift retail. Owners Nicky and Paul Edmunds said they were absolutely delighted: 'We are overwhelmed to have won such a prestigious award and are pleased to be recognised for all of our hard work in growing and establishing our company. 'Winning is so fabulous as it shows we're on the right track and makes us even more excited about our future prospects.' Inside Out opened its two stores in 2004 and will expand later this year when it opens a shop in the new PrincessHay development in Exeter: 'It is a very exciting time,' Paul said. 'We are simply over the moon.'
