SEPTEMBER gave martial artists from the South West the opportunity to take part in a top class seminar.
The event, organised by the Ju Jutsu Tavistock club, was held at Tavistock College. The guest instructors from Italy were Piero Rovigatti and Claudio Corazza eighth and fifth dan respectively in the art of Ju Jutsu GoJu Ryu.
The response was very good with other ju jutsu clubs from Plymouth and as far away as North Wales and Oxford attending.
Sensei Umberto Bergonzini said: 'I am extremely pleased it was a success as this was the first time the Ju Jutsu Tavistock club has organised an event of such importance in Tavistock.
'This has given us a solid base to organise similar events for the future and has shown that Tavistock is an up and coming and highly professional place to train in the martial arts.'
The club meets on Tuesdays between 7.30pm and 9pm and Thursdays between 8pm and 9pm.
