THE ever-popular Exeter Police and Community Choir will be in concert in Okehampton next month.
The choir, who have appeared on BBC Television and a number of local radio productions, will sing a varied programme from traditional spiritual to Celtic folk to Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The choir have also performed all over the West of England and as far afield as France.
Guest soloist for the evening will be local girl Nadia Al-Shawi, soprano, who has trained as an operatic singer.
The concert is being organised by the Rotary Club of Okehampton with all profits going to the BBC Radio Devon Chestnut Appeal.
?We are very pleased to have the Exeter Police and Community Choir in Okehampton,? said John Stevens, the president of the Rotary Club.
?The choir are very popular and we hope to get a sell-out performance, especially as it is in aid of such a good cause.
?The Radio Devon Chestnut Appeal is an appeal for £1-million to build a unit in Plymouth to provide treatment for prostate cancer in men, one of the biggest killers for males.
?We hope that we, in our small way, can help make this dream a reality.?
The concert takes place at the Octagon Theatre, Okehampton on Thursday, April 1, at 7.30pm.
