A BUDDING young soccer star from Tavistock rounded off the season in style this month, when he scooped a top tournament award while on tour in the Isle of Wight.
Joshua Robins, aged 10, is a pupil at St Peter?s School and plays soccer for Tavistock Town U11s side and for the Plymouth Argyle Centre of Excellence at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland.
During his end of season soccer tour, football-mad Joshua was thrilled to be presented with an award for the most outstanding player of the tournament by former Manchester United manager Ron Atkinson.
Joshua?s mum Claire Robins said: ?He phoned me in the morning to say he was a bit disappointed because his team came third in the tournament.
?Then he phoned again later to say he?d got this award ? he was absolutely chuffed to bits!?
